A FEW THINGS ABOUT ME
Black Fig & Co. was born from a love of gathering and the belief that some of life’s most meaningful moments happen around the table. As a wife and mom, I’ve come to treasure the little things. The birthday candles, stories shared around the table, little hands reaching for a favorite bite, and the simple joy of sharing a meal with the people you love. Because in the end, it isn’t really about the food. It’s about who you’re sharing it with.
I believe some of life’s best moments happen around the table.
WIFE, MOM, HOSTESS AT HEART & THE HANDS BEHIND BLACK FIG & CO.
I’m a wife, a mom, and someone who rarely passes an antique store without stopping in.
I love slow mornings and beach days with my family. I love chatting on the phone with my sisters and gathering with the women in my book club, which I’ve hosted for the past two years and has become one of my favorite traditions.
I’m a bit of a homebody at heart and will forever be chasing the Nancy Meyers aesthetic. There’s something so beautiful to me about a home that feels warm, welcoming, and comfortably lived in.
You can almost always find my husband, son, and me exploring a new coffee shop on a Sunday morning, wandering around town, and making a day of discovering somewhere new. I also have a habit of lingering in grocery stores to see what’s in season, trying samples of a new cheese, and finding inspiration in the simple things that often become the most memorable.
Sunday evenings are usually spent at home around the table. We make a big Italian dinner, serve everything family style, and hold tightly to the traditions and heritage that have shaped so much of who I am. I’ve always believed there is beauty in the everyday things. The familiar places, the little rituals, and the people we come home to.
That’s the spirit I hope you’ll find here at Black Fig & Co.
Welcome to my table. xx
I was seventeen when I learned I had Celiac Disease. As someone who grew up in a big Italian family where food was woven into nearly every celebration and tradition, it felt like my world had been turned upside down.
Over the years, I’ve learned that living gluten-free isn’t always about the food itself. It’s the quiet moments that stay with you. Walking up to a beautiful spread and realizing there’s nothing there for you to enjoy. Wondering if you should eat before an event just in case. Leaving a celebration hungry and stopping for a meal on the way home.
I know that feeling well.
And because I’ve lived it, I know how meaningful it is when someone takes the time to make you feel considered.
That perspective has shaped so much of the heart behind Black Fig & Co. Whether it’s creating a gluten-free charcuterie board, accommodating dietary preferences at a grazing table, or simply making sure one guest feels just as cared for as everyone else, I believe beautiful food should be something everyone gets to enjoy.
Building trust was equally important to me. Black Fig & Co. is fully licensed, insured, and ServeSafe Manager Certified because creating an experience that feels welcoming also means creating one that feels safe and thoughtfully prepared.
Because everyone deserves to enjoy the celebration, not just attend it.
Beautiful food should never require compromise.
